Programs in Economics and Finance

 

The Economics and Finance Department offers the student a variety of options depending on one's aim.

The major programs may be pursued as a prelude to graduate study in business (such as M.B.A. programs), economics (usually required for a career as an economist in industry, government, or international organizations), law, social work, or as terminal degrees for the student interested in business as a career and seeking training for immediate employment in industry and commerce.

International Economics stresses the international and the comparative aspects of economic relations - gives students a background in economics fundamentals, economic models, economic policy making, economic institutions.

International Banking and Finance provides training in financial economics and business finance - stresses the international and the comparative aspects of finance - the Finance Curriculum is offered and administered by the Area of Economics and Finance with the support of the Area of International Management.
